In 1972, ECLOF desk was formed under the National Council of Churches in the Philippines.The Securities and Exchange Commission issues a Certificate of Registration for ECLOF Philippines in 1995. Its first loan was released to the UNIDA church on February 1996.On September 2001, ECLOF Antipolo branch was organized. While ECLOF Benguet Branch was formed on March of 2002. In 2002, ECLOF Quezon City Branch was formed. The first loan released in Palawan was also released on September of the same year. ECLOF Palawan Branch was opened in 2004.

ECLOF Philippines is a MEMBER of the ECLOF International Global Family which operates in 26 developing countries in four continents.

As a Christian based organization, ECLOF Philippines envisions a society where human dignity is fully realized, people are empowered and released from the bondage of poverty.Toward this end, ECLOF Philippines commits itself to provide fair credit for:
